We are offering a great chance for someone adaptable, proactive, and enjoys working in a team to join our busy team at Brookfield Farm, located near Honiton, East Devon. As a Farm Worker/Groom, your main responsibilities will be to take care of the resident donkeys, mules, and hinnies, and assist the Farm Manager in ensuring a secure work environment. About you: UK Government Farm Jobs
- Experience in caring for horses or other animals in the past.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Having good physical fitness and being capable of lifting, for instance, a sack of animal feed weighing around 20 kilograms.
- Open to working outdoors even in harsh weather conditions.
- Open to participating in necessary job training.
- Full current valid driving license.

Your primary obligations and tasks will involve: UK Government Farm Jobs
- Regularly attending to the needs of the resident donkeys, mules, ponies, and hinnies by checking on them, providing food, administering medication, grooming them, monitoring their weight, treating them for worms, and offering training sessions.
- Helping vets, blacksmiths, and dentists who are visiting.
- Carrying out tasks such as operating equipment, or doing manual labor, including cleaning out, feeding, and adding bedding to barns and stables, as well as distributing hay, haylage, and bagged animal feed.
- Taking care of the farm involves various tasks such as sweeping, pressure washing, cleaning, field sweeping, haymaking, strimming, managing compost, maintaining willows, and controlling dirty water.
- Keeping accurate and current manual documentation for the donkeys, agricultural methods, vacation time, and extra work hours.
- Giving daily updates to the Farm Manager and Supervisor regarding donkey well-being, feeding routines, and land maintenance, and coordinating with other colleagues to ensure the efficient functioning of the farm.
