  • Manage the execution of engineering services required for bidding, design, engineering phases, or internal engineering activities.
  • Meet client requirements in the delivery of project engineering.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and standards and adhere to HSE and
  • WMS requirements at all times.
  • Provide engineering services within budget and on time according to the client’s specifications and defined scope of work.
  • Identify the resources required for engineering delivery and manage the execution of project work.
  • Report the progress of work to the MD/CEO. Identify requirements for engineering services subcontracts during the bidding phase, using a risk-based approach to resources, expertise, and schedule impact.
  • Manage the technical execution of engineering subcontracts.
  • Prepare engineering inputs to bids based on the bid plan, encompassing all aspects of project execution (resource management, subcontracting, reporting, etc.) applicable to the bid activity.
  • Communicate resource requirements to Head of Disciplines (HOD’s). Agree project manpower plan with HOD’s.
  • Develop an engineering execution plan (internal) and an engineering design verification plan for the project.
  • This will include scope of work and specifications, detailed engineering schedule, manpower plan, and budgeted manpower for each engineering discipline.
  • Execute projects according to engineering execution and design verification plans and engineering management requirements. Approve engineering and drafting man-hours budgeted for own projects.
  • Initiate necessary subcontracts and manage these contracts to maintain schedule and budget. Agree with
  • HOD the requirements for managing the technical integrity of the work provided by the subcontractors.
  • Provide weekly reports on project performance, including man-hour expenditures, schedule adherence (planned, actual, and forecast), progress measurements, impediments to progress, and special notes on safety, quality, and environmental issues.

  • 8-12 years of experience in design and engineering in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience as a Senior Planning Engineer, preferably in offshore projects.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience with project planning techniques and planning software such as Ms-
  • Project and Primavera P6.
  • Good knowledge of key software related to data processing and planning systems such as Ms-Access and Ms-Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Understanding of all engineering disciplines
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Understand scope of work, quantities, and be familiar with the logical sequence of engineering, procurement, and construction disciplines.
  • Understand project WBS structure and work with management and project team to develop work breakdown structure for progress measurement, scheduling, cost estimation and project management purposes.
  • Use scheduling software to create and manage an overall master schedule that integrates the work breakdown structure
  • Coordinate project schedules from all disciplines and incorporate the collected information into the overall project master schedule.
  • Able to utilize planning tools such as MS excel, Access, MS Project, Primavera, etc.
  • Create and implement plan vs. actual progress charts (histograms/S-curves). Report and analyze deviations from the plan to the project manager.
  • Track, monitor, and forecast the progress of all activities and deliverables (in all disciplines), including products, engineering documents, and manufacturing status.
  • Analyzes gaps between planned and actual progress and identifies areas of concern that require action by associate task members.
  • Develop and update schedules three weeks and three months ahead to reflect prioritized activities.
  • Participate in all meetings (schedule review meetings, progress review meetings, coordination meetings, etc.).
  • Validate critical path and interface between design/engineering/procurement/execution
  • Regularly monitor progress and compare to baseline plan
  • Prepare and check weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Prepare and issue special daily reports as required based on project requirements
